Job summary

Philadelphia Gas Works is seeking a qualified candidate to support its Energy Efficiency and Emerging Customer Programs. The role involves processing applications, assisting customers, and promoting PGW’s energy efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities include QA, reporting, and coordinating with contractors; the candidate will also help market programs and present at events while resolving consumer questions and issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; 1–3 years in utilities may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues.
• Good interpersonal skills to negotiate and influence within PGW.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel skills preferred.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities; creative solutions.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Strong leadership, verbal, written and interpersonal skills; organized multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Review energy efficiency program applications for completeness and compliance.
• Contact customers with rejected or incomplete applications.
• Prepare weekly file of rebates to be paid.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and email; support program enrollment.
• Prepare monthly or ad-hoc reports on program participation.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities of contractors for compliance.
• Maintain policies defining key eligibility indicators.
• Perform QA on applications; schedule visits for QA inspections.
• Assist in development and administration of program marketing/communication.
• Present programs to external stakeholders at public events.
• Serve as a point of contact for consumers to resolve issues.
• Carry out other special projects as requested.
