Job summary

Philadelphia Gas Works is seeking a Manager of Community & Constituent Engagement to lead outreach efforts across Philadelphia. You will direct a team, manage relations with legislators, and coordinate programs that inform and engage diverse communities.

The role reports to the Vice President of External Affairs, focusing on transparent, person-centered service and collaboration with city departments and community organizations. A background in energy utilities or public service is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, community affairs, political science, public affairs, marketing or related field.
• 7+ years related experience in energy utility, government, non-profit, or public service environment.
• Experience with public engagement and community outreach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and inform stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of outreach specialists and manage PGW’s community engagement initiatives.
• Set metrics and deliverables for stakeholder relations and customer service.
• Coordinate with internal staff to plan community outreach strategies and ensure transparent communication.
• Maintain relationships with community leaders and external partners.
• Support coordination of community meetings and engagement events.
• Report to the Vice President of External Affairs and align with PGW’s mission.
