ICF’s Energy Efficiency Division is seeking interns to provide utility program support across multiple projects, applying academic knowledge to real-world energy programs.

This 10-week, entry-level internship begins in June 2027. Hybrid work from Columbia, MD with in-office collaboration at least two days per week; remote options are available in VA, SC, or GA. Compensation is $23 per hour, with relocation housing not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours by start date, preferably in energy, environment, business, economics, engineering or related subject.
• Must be able to pass required background checks, which may include drug screening.
• Excellent quantitative/analytical skills with ability to analyze situations and propose solutions.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and detail-orientation skills.

Responsabilités

• Assisting with data collection and data analysis for internal projects.
• Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and databases for internal tracking and project management.
• Assisting in preparation of internal and client deliverables.
• Documenting processes and developing process improvements and/or automation.
• Contributing to energy analysis and program measure development (skillset dependent).
• Supporting Program Delivery teams with client presentations and relaying key program results.
