Job summary

Heaven Hill is seeking an Energy Improvement Engineer to drive energy conservation across Bardstown's bottling facilities. This hands-on role will develop an energy opportunity pipeline, forecast savings, and coordinate with operations, maintenance, and sustainability teams to implement cost-saving projects.

The position focuses on heat recovery, boiler efficiency, insulation, and demand management, with a goal to reduce energy intensity and emissions while delivering financially attractive

Responsibilities

• Execute the enterprise Energy Conservation Strategy across multiple sites with an energy opportunity pipeline.
• Assess energy use across distilling, bottling, processing, and utilities to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Review DOE and site audits; validate applicability and convert recommendations into plans.
• Plan and support energy audits including Bardstown site; coordinate data collection and tracking.
• Develop quick-win projects for boiler, steam, insulation, and energy systems.
• Create charters, scopes, capital requests, savings estimates, payback analyses, and implementation plans.
• Embed energy considerations into maintenance and operating practices.
• Establish energy metrics and reporting; communicate results to leadership.
• Identify utility rebates and government incentives to improve economics.
• Align project plans with 2030 Environmental Sustainability Strategy and carbon goals.
• Collaborate with site leadership to foster energy awareness and ownership.
• Coordinate with utilities, OEMs, contractors; ensure recommendations fit site conditions.
• Advance continuous improvement through data-driven problem solving.
• Maintain knowledge of energy technologies and regulations applicable to distilling and bottling.
