Job summary

American Electric Power in the United States seeks a specialist to evaluate EE & Consumer Programs resource applications from third-party contractors. You will coordinate with planning and business unit functions, support data collection, and assist in securing corporate contractor agreements and general operating terms and conditions.

You’ll promote programs, track costs, and ensure timely delivery of program goals in collaboration with multiple internal teams and legal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, applied sciences, agriculture, or IT.
• Minimum of two years' experience in energy efficiency or consumer programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and evaluating detailed RFI/RFQ/RFP documents to prospective third-party contractors.
• Supports program promotion strategies, data collection procedures/forms, M&V requirements, cost tracking procedures, and training guidelines.
• Ensures programs are implemented to achieve EE & Consumer Programs goals and objectives.
• Works with operating company and AEP staff, legal, regulatory staff, and other units to align strategies.
• Provides technical and financial evaluation of EE & Consumer Programs proposals.
• Reviews contractor proposals for adherence to guidelines and recommends implementation strategies.
• Supports M&V activities and data collection for program evaluation.
• Maintains knowledge of EE & Consumer Programs activities across units.
