Job summary

Appalachian Power is seeking an Energy Efficiency & Consumer Programs Coordinator to support evaluation of third-party contractor applications, coordinate with planning and business units, and assist with data collection and program evaluation for operating companies.

You will collaborate with AEP staff, legal, regulatory teams, and trade allies to implement effective EE & Consumer Programs and promote participation across the service territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the listed fields.
  • Experience with energy efficiency or consumer programs preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the service territory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and evaluating submits detailed RFI/RFQ/RFP documents for prospective third-party contractors.
  • Support program promotion strategies, data collection procedures/forms, M&V requirements, cost tracking, and training guidelines.
  • Collaborate with operating company staff, legal, regulatory teams to align program strategies and understand processes.
  • Participate in reviews of contractor proposals to ensure adherence to program guidelines and objectives and advise the EE & Consumer Programs Manager.
  • Assist with M&V activities and data collection, and support program implementation.
