Job summary

Vistra is seeking a Financial Analyst, Corporate Development and Finance to support modeling for the Vistra Development pipeline, assess investment opportunities and aid internal reporting and leadership presentations. You will develop financial models for renewable and fossil assets in the pipeline and coordinate with various Vistra teams.

The role provides exposure to Vistra’s segments (TXU Energy, Luminant, Dynegy) and requires strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, plus 5–8 years in corporate

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, FP&A, or related fields.
• Knowledge of the energy industry (power and gas) and renewables and energy storage development.
• Strong writing skills and ability to summarize quantitative data in charts and graphics in PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with executives.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with analytical mindset.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and refreshing financial models for the Vistra development pipeline.
• Incorporate inputs: capital spend, project timeline, gross margin build-up, O&M cost, tax assumptions, and capital structure.
• Perform pricing and returns analyses for marketing efforts in the pipeline.
• Run scenario analyses around offtake opportunities, capital structure sensitivities, and acquisition opportunities.
• Create and maintain internal/external reporting materials to track performance metrics.
• Support strategic initiatives such as new market entry or regulatory initiatives.
