Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Designer III to advance mid-sized to complex utility design projects, including overhead and underground circuits, lighting, and development.

The role emphasizes field data collection, CAD drawing production, and coordination with clients and construction crews. This office-based position involves significant field work in varying weather, with mentorship under senior designers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and four years relevant work experience, or an Associate’s Degree with three years relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Independently performing field data collection and project-specific inspections for moderately complex projects.
• Producing high-quality CAD drawings and material lists for construction of simple projects.
• Ensuring communications are documented on projects as required by training.
• Providing guidance and training to peers and newer designers for simple projects.
• Producing permitting documentation, as needed, independently.
• Communicating with clients and participating in site meetings with oversight.
