Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking an Energy - Designer III to design utility systems, collect field data, and support project teams on moderately complex tasks. The role includes office work with significant field exposure and collaboration with clients and crews.

The Designer III will produce CAD drawings, assist with permitting, and mentor peers while handling independent tasks under supervision. A driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years relevant work experience.
• Associate's Degree with 3 years relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Independently performing field data collection and project-specific inspections for moderately complex projects, accurately and efficiently.
• Producing high-quality computer-aided design drawings and a list of materials needed for the construction of simple projects and providing support required by supervision for more complex tasks.
• Ensuring all necessary communications are documented on projects designed as required by training.
• Providing guidance and training to peers and newer designers for simple projects.
• Producing permitting documentation, as needed, independently.
• Demonstrating the ability to communicate with clients and participating in site meetings with oversight.
