Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher.
• ABET-accredited college program in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering.
• Occasional travel to downtown facilities and Prairie Island.
• Full-time in summer / part-time during the school year per hybrid policy.
• Must pass nuclear background screening for unescorted access.

Responsibilities

• Work on industrial safety items: shaft guards and platforms.
• Update on-site engineering document change backlog.
• Improve reporting tools and integrate AI into design activities.
• Support early screening of outage modifications.
• Engage in site troubleshooting and research operating experience.
• Research replacements for obsolete equipment.
• Update site calculations and lifecycle docs.
• Assist in Endeavour software implementation.
• Provide support to Monticello Design Engineering Team.
