Job summary

River Valley Cooperative in Iowa is seeking a Professional CDL Driver to join our energy transportation team, delivering propane to our customer base with a home-every-night schedule and a focus on safety and service. You will load and unload trucks, perform daily DOT inspections, and help maintain tractors and trailers while working outdoors in varying weather.

Strong communication with customers, attention to safety, and reliable attendance are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ag retail experience preferred.
• CDL Class A is required; tanker and hazmat experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane at customer locations.
• Load and unload trucks at destination.
• Ensure tractor/trailer is cleaned and maintained in a safe condition.
• Perform daily DOT inspections including tires, fuel, oil, etc.

We are looking for safety-minded people who are collaborative team players, and are ready and excited to make a difference.What you'll do:Deliver propane at our customer locations.Load and/or Unload trucks when at destinationEnsure that the tractor and trailer is cleaned and maintained in a safe working manner. This includes identifying all needed maintenance on tractor or trailer requiring attention by maintenance.Accurately perform daily DOT inspections that includes tires, fuel, oil etc.What you'll bring:High School diploma or equivalentAg retail experience preferredBasic computer skills preferredClass A CDL required. Tanker, Hazmat preferredWorking Conditions:May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, ag chemicals and vapors, and moving machinery on occasion as part of this position.
