Job summary

River Valley Cooperative in Galva, IL is seeking a Professional CDL Driver to deliver propane to our customer base with a home-every-night schedule. You will interact with customers and provide first-in-class service in a safety-minded, collaborative team environment.

The role requires a Class A CDL (Tanker/Hazmat preferred) and basic computer skills. Duties include delivering propane, loading/unloading, maintaining equipment, and performing DOT inspections daily.

Qualifications

River Valley Cooperative is looking for a Professional CDL Driver to join our energy transportation team. Our driver will deliver propane to our customer base throughout our trade area, with a home-every-night schedule. This role will be engaging with our customers, and providing first-in-class service. We are looking for safety-minded people who are collaborative team players, and are ready and excited to make a difference.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver propane at our customer locations.
• Load and/or Unload trucks when at destination
• Ensure that the tractor and trailer is cleaned and maintained in a safe working manner. This includes identifying all needed maintenance on tractor or trailer requiring attention by maintenance.
• Accurately perform daily DOT inspections that includes tires, fuel, oil etc.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ag retail experience preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Class A CDL required. Tanker, Hazmat preferred

Working Conditions:

May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, ag chemicals and vapors, and moving machinery on occasion as part of this position. May be required to work long hours as needed and directed, as well as work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
