Job summary

Microsoft Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support energy delivery and construction projects in the Charlotte, NC region. The role blends project management with on-site construction oversight for utility-scale electrical infrastructure and capital projects from planning through field execution.

The candidate will coordinate utilities, engineering, design teams, and contractors, while managing schedules, risks, and project documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience with schedule and risk management.
• 5+ years of construction management or field execution, coordinating contractors.
• 3+ years in electrical infrastructure or utility projects (substations, transmission, distribution).
• Experience supporting large capital infrastructure programs or major construction initiatives.
• Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders and sustain project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM and construction Mgmt support for energy delivery and electrical infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate activities across utilities, engineering/design teams, contractors, and operations.
• Develop and track schedules, milestones, and deliverables with action items and dependencies.
• Lead project meetings and coordination discussions; monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Conduct site visits and oversee active construction; provide onsite project management support.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and status updates for leadership.
