Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Senior Data Strategy Lead to develop and implement data strategies for CERA, aligned with the Enterprise Data Organization. You will collaborate across Client, Product, Sales, Technology, and Data teams to translate business problems into data-driven solutions and roadmaps.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in data management within the energy sector, strong communication skills, and deep knowledge of Upstream, Power, and Gas data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data management, data harmonization, business development, or a related field within the energy industry.
• Experience bridging business needs and data management execution across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational management and business case development skills.
• Ability to work across business teams and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present ideas, recommendations, and progress updates to leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Upstream, Power, and Gas data.
• Experience with data management tools and technologies, including SQL, ETL, and data visualization tools.
• Experience supporting customers and participating in commercial conversations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to build trust quickly, simplify complexity, connect stakeholders, drive alignment, and follow through effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Indefinite right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a data strategy for S&P Global CERA aligned with S&P Global and Enterprise Data Organization strategies
• Collaborate with Client, Product, Sales, Technology, Data, and other stakeholders to define and execute data strategy
• Consult on client business problems and identify data needs
• Present data-driven solutions and create practical development roadmaps
• Translate S&P Global CERA strategy into actionable goals and measurable targets
• Clearly articulate value and business rationale
• Define data quality, timeliness, comprehensiveness, policies, and procedures with Data Operations, Data Stewardship, Quality & Customer, and other EDO teams
• Promote communication between S&P Global Energy CERA and the Enterprise Data Organization
• Communicate opportunities, progress, and health of EDO-sponsored projects
