Job summary

Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. is seeking an Energy Data and Reporting Analyst to collect, analyze, and present energy data to support decision-making, efficiency, and compliance across North American operations.

The role bridges technical data analysis with business reporting, ensuring energy usage, costs, and performance are accurately tracked and communicated to internal stakeholders. The analyst will collaborate with the Energy Team and other departments on data-driven energy management initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (energy, engineering, environmental science, data science or analytics) is required.
Strong Excel, SQL and data visualization skills with ability to model datasets.
Experience with energy data, coefficients, conversions and calculations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Data Collection & Management: Gather energy data from internal systems, SAP, utility invoices, and external sources; maintain databases and dashboards.
Analysis & Modeling: Build statistical models to identify trends and opportunities for energy management and forecasting.
Reporting & Visualization: Create reports and dashboards (Power BI, Databricks) for internal stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work with Energy Team and other departments to integrate data into energy reporting systems.
