Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a qualified professional to manage the energy cap utility accounting program, including data entry, maintenance, and budgeting. You will liaison with the state energy office, handle billing orders, verify costs, and support facilities management with preventive maintenance oversight.

A high school diploma is required, with 5 years in related fields and asbestos supervisor certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

• Process and verify billing purchase orders; ensure correct costs and consumption; scan for payment.
• Assist in overseeing preventative maintenance and security equipment at Facilities management.
• Complete four weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

• Manage and maintain all aspects of the energy cap utility accounting program to include data entry, maintenance and upgrading program, generate graphs & reports, target wasteful facilities & streamline energy accounting and utility budgeting.
• Serve as SCDC liaison to the state energy office supplying information and reports concerning energy savings, projects and efforts to reduce energy costs per S.C. Code of laws 1926 amended 48-52-10 through 48-52-680 and bills H4766 And 59 manage the collection, formatting, editing and data entry of periodic billing purchase orders for approximately 575 utility account for all institutions through SCDC, check bills for errors in cost and consumption, code to correct purchase orders, scan to SCDC A/P as release for payment.
• Usage & other misc.
• Issues as required.
• Assist in overseeing preventative maintenance care & security equipment located at Facilities management. Identify & resolve system or equipment.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma and relevant experience in business administration, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

SCDC Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma and 5 years’ experience in utility accounting, energy management, facilities operations or administration, or a closely related field.
• Must have experience working with large datasets, spreadsheets, and electronic databases.
• Must have or obtain asbestos supervisor certifications within six (6) months employment.
