Job summary

Georgia System Operations Corporation is seeking an Energy Control Systems Engineer I–IV to support the EMS, SCADA, and OT platforms that run Georgia's electric grid. The position combines application and system administration, database support, cybersecurity awareness, and operational technology expertise to maintain high availability and secure operations at GSOC's control centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience supporting EMS/SCADA/OT systems and utility tech environments.
• Knowledge of software development, databases, cybersecurity, and enterprise apps.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to participate in an on-call support environment for mission-critical systems.
• Experience with Linux/ UNIX/ Windows Server and enterprise systems support.

Responsibilities

• Support, administer, maintain, and secure EMS/SCADA/OT applications.
• Monitor systems for performance, reliability, security events, and readiness.
• Install, test, and support security patches, upgrades, releases.
• Provide administration for scheduling, forecasting, interchange, ICCP, AGC, archives, alarms.
• Support restoration, backup, recovery, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, vendors, DBAs, and infrastructure teams.
• Develop and maintain documentation and technical recommendations.
• Train users and operators with technical guidance.
