Job summary

You will influence policy, support advocacy, and engage diverse industry stakeholders. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of building design or construction

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, material science, or architecture is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience related to building design and/or construction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to articulate NAHB’s position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement NAHB’s strategy for energy codes and standards across ICC, ASHRAE, and other forums.
  • Focus on zero net energy and emission reductions.
  • Develop tools and information to support code advocacy efforts by NAHB members and staff.
  • Assist NAHB members, committees, and staff with technical issues related to construction methods and practices.
  • Support adoption and implementation of energy codes and energy policies in jurisdictions around the country.
  • Prepare and present articles, status updates, webinars, and other related materials.
