Job summary

ArentFox Schiff LLP in the United States seeks a Counsel or Income Partner to join its nationally recognized Energy & Cleantech practice in any office location. This role represents clients in complex regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters across the energy sector, including development, acquisition, sale, and financing of regulated assets.

Ideal candidates have substantial FERC experience and familiarity with state energy agencies.

Qualifications

• Significant experience representing clients before FERC.
• Experience with state energy regulatory agencies and public utility commissions.
• Strong regulatory and litigation experience in the energy sector.
• Experience advising on regulatory aspects of energy-related mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactions.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage sophisticated client matters and collaborate across practice areas.
• Appetite for business development.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters in energy.
• Provide strategic regulatory counseling and support energy-related M&A and other corporate transactions.
• Collaborate with energy, corporate, and litigation teams to navigate regulatory landscapes.
• Support litigation in other regulated industries if needed.
