Job summary

ArentFox Schiff is seeking a Counsel or Income Partner to join its nationally recognized Energy & Cleantech practice in any of our office locations. This position offers the opportunity to represent a diverse range of clients in complex regulatory, litigation, and transactional matters involving the energy industry.

The ideal candidate will have transactional experience advising on the development, acquisition, sale and financing of regulated energy assets and substantial experience before FERC

Qualifications

• Significant experience representing clients before FERC.
• Experience with state energy regulatory agencies and public utility commissions.
• Strong regulatory and litigation experience in the energy sector.
• Experience advising on regulatory aspects of energy-related mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactions.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated client matters and collaborate across practice areas.
• An appetite for business development.
• The ability and confidence to both work independently and be a contributing member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in regulatory and litigation matters in the energy sector, including FERC and state agencies.
• Support energy-related mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions across practice areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues across energy, corporate, and litigation teams.
