Job summary

Merck in Durham, NC seeks an Energy Center Technician to maintain and monitor energy center equipment across the site. You will support energy systems, perform preventative tasks, and document activities to ensure continuous operation.

The role requires experience with energy center maintenance, ability to read P&IDs and electrical prints, and flexibility for 5-2-2-5 rotations with day-to-night shifts. A technical degree or diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years energy center maintenance experience
• 2-year technical degree with 2 years energy center maintenance experience
• Read electrical prints, P&IDs and control loops
• Must be able to document maintenance activities

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain energy center equipment (chillers, compressors, boilers, etc.).
• Perform preventive maintenance and document findings using CMMS.
• Support GMP compliance and plant engineering through accurate records.
