Job summary

Mercy seeks an Energy Center Operator I to learn and perform basic maintenance of boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, and control systems. The role emphasizes safety, learning, and professional development through hands-on work and adherence to environmental regulations.

Ideal candidates have high school education or trade schooling and the drive to advance to ECO II. This is a starting point within Mercy's energy operations with on-site responsibilities and customer-facing collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: High School, equivalent, or 1 year direct relevant experience.
• EPA Universal Certification as required by 40CFR, Part 82, Subpart F for all Mercy locations.

Responsibilities

• Learn operations for HVAC and refrigeration systems and safety procedures.
• Learn proper use of basic tools and equipment to maintain and troubleshoot systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication to staff and customers.
