The role emphasizes impact evaluation, engineering analyses, and building energy modeling using tools like EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and BEopt. You will mentor junior staff, develop client-ready reports, and travel up to 10% to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline with 3+ years utilities industry or consulting experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years experience.
• Post-graduation work must include impact evaluation, engineering analyses, and building energy modeling.
• Experience analyzing energy savings for common measures in residential, commercial, or industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the impact of utility programs using rigorous evaluation methods.
• Assess energy efficiency, building electrification and renewable energy technologies in programs.
• Perform building energy modeling using residential and commercial tools.
• Conduct complex technical and economic analyses for cost-effectiveness.
• Develop reports and present findings to clients.
• Maintain client relationships and mentor junior team members.
• Travel up to 10% and work onsite as needed.
