Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a qualified professional to join our customer programs team in support of energy efficiency, electrification, and load management programs for utility clients across the US. You will engage in impact evaluation, building energy modeling, data analysis, and cost-effectiveness studies using tools like EnergyPlus, BEopt, and OpenStudio.

The role involves collaboration with a close-knit team, mentoring junior staff, and occasional fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to nature of client engagements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline AND 3+ years utilities/consulting experience; or Master’s degree with 2+ years experience
• All work experience must be post-graduation and include impact evaluation, engineering analyses, and building energy modeling
• Experience in energy savings analyses for residential, commercial, or industrial measures (lighting, HVAC, motors and drives, weatherization, electrification)
• Strong analytical and data skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency with Excel and programming languages like R and Python

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the impact of utility programs using rigorous evaluation methods
• Assess energy efficiency, building electrification and renewable energy technologies
• Model buildings using tools like EnergyPlus or BEopt
• Perform complex technical and economic analyses for cost-effectiveness
• Manage tasks within timelines and budgets
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships
• Mentor junior team members
• Develop and present reports and presentations to clients
• Option to conduct fieldwork for data collection
