Job summary

Mountainland Association of Governments in Utah is seeking an Energy Auditor and QCI Assistant to support Weatherization projects by assisting with documentation, visual inspections, health and safety measures, and diagnostic testing.

The role involves client intake, data entry, field inspections, and helping the weatherization crew install energy-saving measures. A high school diploma and two years of relevant experience are required, with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Energy Auditor or Quality Control Inspector in conducting field inspections.
  • Assist in inputs corresponding labor, invoices, and material into the work orders of the NEAT program.
  • Assist the field team in the work of weatherizing homes - installing energy saving and health and safety measures.
  • Communicates with clients to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide client education on newly installed equipment.
  • Investigates and resolves record discrepancies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Energy Auditor and QCI Assistant ensures Weatherization projects meet all Utah Weatherization Guidelines through assisting with documentation management, visual inspections, health, safety, and diagnostic testing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities-

Job Specifications:
Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Understanding of power tool safety
  • Ability to read a measuring tape
  • Experience in removal and installation, manual labor, and the use of tools
  • Knowledge of building regulations and codes
  • Basic knowledge of weatherization techniques and materials (Preferred)
Working Conditions:

This job operates on-site and is often in cramped or confined spaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Frequent travel will be required in this position. This is an hourly position, expected to work 20 hours per week.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires sitting, standing, walking, and crawling for long periods of time. The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
