Job summary

Mountainland Association of Governments is seeking an Energy Auditor and QCI Assistant to ensure Weatherization projects meet Utah guidelines through documentation management, inspections, and safety testing.

The role supports the Energy Auditor and QC Inspector in field work, data entry, and assisting with weatherization tasks, with travel and on-site duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in Google Suite; willing to learn new software.
• Must be patient and flexible with the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Ability to drive company vehicles and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience in removal and installation, manual labor, and the use of tools.
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes.
• Baseline knowledge of weatherization techniques and materials (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in client intake, production, and energy audit documentation review.
• Complete accurate data entry.
• Assist in field inspections with Energy Auditor or Quality Control Inspector.
• Enter labor, invoices, and material into NEAT program work orders.
• Help weatherize homes by installing energy-saving and safety measures.
• Communicate with clients to resolve issues and educate on new equipment.
• Investigate and resolve record discrepancies.

Job Summary

The Energy Auditor and QCI Assistant ensures Weatherization projects meet all Utah Weatherization Guidelines through assisting with documentation management, visual inspections, health, safety, and diagnostic testing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in client intake, production, and energy audit documentation review.
• Completes accurate data entry.
• Assist the Energy Auditor or Quality Control Inspector in conducting field inspections.
• Assist in inputs corresponding labor, invoices, and material into the work orders of the NEAT program.
• Assist the field team in the work of weatherizing homes - installing energy saving and health and safety measures.
• Communicates with clients to resolve issues, answer any questions, and provide client education on newly installed equipment.
• Investigates and resolves record discrepancies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

This job operates on-site and is often in cramped or confined spaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Frequent travel will be required in this position. This is an hourly position, expected to work 20 hours per week.

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting, standing, walking, and crawling for long periods of time. The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
