Job summary

Monarch Private Capital is seeking an associate-level Asset Manager to maximize the financial and operational performance of its renewable energy portfolio. The role focuses on supporting investor streams and renewable energy transactions, with exposure to closing workstreams and sponsor relationships.

The successful candidate will work within the energy asset management team to ensure accurate reporting, manage K1/tax processes, and contribute to ROI/IRR analysis to meet target returns.

Qualifications

• Associate-level asset manager with knowledge of renewable energy, underwriting, and finance.
• Experience maximizing financial and operational performance of energy portfolios.
• Ability to support renewable energy financial transactions and closing workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Support approval of documentation for investments in renewable energy projects.
• Ensure project-level reporting is collected and entered into asset management software.
• Review quarterly project reports to monitor performance and resolve issues.
• Assist with investor reporting and asset management fees, returns, and cash distributions.
• Collect and review annual K1s and tax documents.
• Update benefit schedules and ROI/IRR calculations to meet targets.
• Gather data for sponsor consent requests.
• Assist with asset valuations and negotiations of exits.
• Review financial statements to identify under-performing assets.
• Build relationships with energy sponsors and developers.
