Job Summary:
The Energy and Commissioning Sales Manager is a dynamic and results-oriented professional responsible for driving energy efficiency solutions and generating new business. This role combines technical energy management expertise with strategic sales skills to identify, develop, and close sales of energy-saving projects and services. The individual will conduct energy audits, develop proposals, and build strong client relationships, while also ensuring the successful implementation of energy efficiency initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and close sales, achieving sales targets.
Generate leads and develop a robust sales pipeline.
Work closely with marketing departments to create effective sales strategies.
Work with local utility and government entities for incentives to help finance potential projects.
Energy Management and Auditing:
Conduct comprehensive energy audits of facilities and buildings.
Analyze energy consumption data and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement energy efficiency strategies and projects.
Provide technical expertise on energy-saving technologies and solutions.
Ensure compliance with energy regulations and standards.
Retroactive Commissioning:
Conduct comprehensive audits of facilities
Based on audit results, propose projects to customers to overcome facility inefficiencies/deficiencies.
Formulate cost saving measures based on equipment sequence, scheduling, setpoint, etc. improvements.
Project Management:
Manage energy efficiency projects from inception to completion.
Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors.
Monitor project budgets and timelines.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Client Consultation and Education:
Provide expert consultation to clients on energy efficiency best practices.
Educate clients on the benefits of energy-saving solutions.
Present energy saving analysis, and ROI to potential customers.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare detailed reports on energy consumption and project performance.
Track and analyze sales data and metrics.
Provide regular updates to management on sales and project progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is required.
Proven track record in sales, preferably in the energy efficiency or related industry.
Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles and technologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in 1 energy modeling software and data analysis tools.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Knowledge of relevant energy codes and regulations.
