Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an Energy Analyst in California to drive the technical development and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable power projects. The role requires flexible scheduling for site walks and coordinating with the Project Manager to ensure timely deliverables.

The position involves analyzing energy opportunities, performing site audits, and supporting submittals, interconnections, and permit processes. Proficiency with Excel and industry tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working on energy efficiency or renewable projects.
• Minimum one year working with utilities or solar interconnection process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Clearly communicates technical detail as it pertains to their area of functional expertise.
• Knowledge on managing utility rebates, incentives, and interconnect applications for various scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Support development of Integrated Services projects, including energy efficiency, renewables, micro-grid, and storage scopes.
• Perform energy analysis and review analyses performed by others.
• Conduct site audits to identify equipment and energy opportunities.
• Use Energy Tool Base, Helioscope, and other tools for preliminary design and analysis of energy measures.
• Identify energy savings opportunities under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Review submittals, change orders, RFIs; assist during construction phase.
• Assist in sizing, savings, and layouts for solar and storage scopes.
• Prepare and administer rebate applications, interconnect, and permits.
• Conduct site walks and interface with customers to develop scopes of work.
• Manage/permitting process and foster team collaboration.
