Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Project Delivery Manager to lead and grow the Energy Advisory department in the Northeast region. The role oversees delivery of consulting engagements in power generation, renewables, market analysis, and utility finance, while developing a high-performing team.

You will drive strategic leadership, staff development, and project excellence, ensuring quality work, client satisfaction, and alignment with the firm’s values and mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business, or related field with 5 years of related experience.
• Previous leadership/management experience is preferable.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence, lead and manage change.
• Strong project management skills and strategic perspective.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Energy Advisory team including multiple groups.
• Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and regular one-on-one meetings.
• Promote company culture, values, and mission while modeling traits.
• Interpret and communicate goals, policies, and priorities to staff.
• Lead and oversee delivery of consulting engagements across energy domains.
• Provide expert technical and commercial guidance for projects.
• Ensure efficient staff assignment and billable targets.
• Lead QA/QC efforts and ensure quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with project managers to manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support best-practices development in project delivery and execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies across projects.
• Collaborate with managing directors and BD teams to secure new engagements.
• Oversee service delivery within department and business lines.
• Implement firmwide programs and drive adoption.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration with adjacent lines.
