Job summary

Southern Power Company is seeking a Business Development Associate in acquisitions to drive growth through sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments in power generation and energy infrastructure across the continental United States.

You will lead due diligence workstreams, develop recommendations, prepare indicative bid proposals, and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, and legal, while applying approved AI-enabled tools to enhance diligence, data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, etc. is required.
• Experience in power industry acquisitions or project evaluation is a plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the execution of growth strategy with focus on acquisitions.
• Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities across generation technologies.
• Lead due diligence workstreams and support negotiations.
• Prepare indicative bid proposals and deal summaries for senior management.
• Coordinate deal execution milestones and maintain acquisition pipeline.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows and reporting.
