Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required – e.g. Business, Engineering, Finance, etc.
• Experience with the power industry, acquisitions or project evaluation is a plus.
• Experience with due diligence, transaction execution, and/or contract negotiations is valuable.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• Proven ability to apply AI, automation or data solutions to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the successful execution of Southern Power's growth strategy with a focus on acquisitions.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition opportunities across multiple generation technologies.
• Perform market research, screening, and competitive analysis to assess strategic fit and investment potential.
• Lead assigned due diligence workstreams and contribute to negotiations and valuation analyses.
• Coordinate acquisition execution activities and monitor milestones to ensure timely due diligence.
