Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Energy Marshall to lead electrical safety, energization planning, LOTO compliance, switching procedures, and commissioning-related activities on mission-critical infrastructure projects.

You will work with construction teams, electrical contractors, utilities, and customers to ensure energized systems are managed safely and in accordance with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical degree and 5+ years of electrical construction, commissioning, operations, safety, or mission-critical infrastructure experience.
• Experience supporting energization, commissioning, startup, switching, or operational readiness on large-scale electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, standby generation, grounding, and critical power infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), energized electrical work practices, switching procedures, and hazard mitigation processes.
• OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, NETA or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead energization planning and electrical safety activities across construction, commissioning, startup, and turnover.
• Oversee Lockout/Tagout programs, switching procedures, and energized work coordination.
• Review energization plans, method statements, switching procedures, and startup documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, commissioning teams, equipment vendors, utilities, and project stakeholders to support safe energization.
• Identify electrical hazards, operational risks, and safety concerns while developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, customer standards, OSHA regulations, NFPA guidance, and company safety expectations.
