Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT is seeking an Engineering Technician - Level 2/3 to support energetic materials, assembling and testing pyrotechnic articles across multiple programs. The role requires strict adherence to safety and test plans, with on-site work 4/10 schedule and potential domestic travel.

You will review drawings and specifications, perform setup, fabrication, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, and apply Lean practices. U.S. DoD clearance eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Must qualify for an Alcohol Tobacco and Firearm (ATF) \"Explosives Possessor\" designation.
• Must qualify for a Department of Defense security clearance.
• Disciplined to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Improve processes and support team environments across projects.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, diverse, collaborative setting.
• Compile reports, data, planning, certifications for hardware packages for review by customers.
• Maintain strong organization and communication; report on-site to Propulsion Systems location near Corinne, UT.
• Work in energetics facility with propellants and explosives; wear PPE as required.
