The Pine School is seeking a Substitute Teacher in Hobe Sound, FL. You will carry out lesson plans and classroom procedures in alignment with the Teacher, delivering age-appropriate instruction to Elementary or Middle School students.

This part-time, non-exempt position requires the ability to maintain a positive learning environment, strong communication, and reliable classroom supervision in various settings around the school day.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to develop rapport with students and communicate effectively.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Comfort with basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plans of the absent teacher to deliver engaging lessons.
• Assign classwork and homework as prescribed.
• Use appropriate instructional methods to meet objectives.
• Maintain a positive learning environment for students.
• Supervise students in hallways, lunch, recess, and dismissal as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by administration.
