Job summary

Impact Kids is seeking experienced STEM instructors to inspire students through hands-on activities at our after-school programs. The role emphasizes engaging learners aged 4 to 14 and building a love for science, tech, engineering, and math.

The ideal candidate will bring high energy, strong communication with children and parents, and a collaborative spirit to support curriculum implementation. A background check is required, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• A Child abuse clearance and criminal background checks are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children.
• 1–5 years of experience teaching STEM subjects preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct students in STEM subjects, ensuring a safe learning environment.
• Implement STEM lessons tailored to ages 4–14 with varying skill levels.
• Promote fundamental STEM skills to build knowledge and proficiency.
• Group supervision with attention to behavior, health, safety, security, and development.
• Ensure the safety of students and team members.
• Organize and prepare daily plans in a fun and creative manner.
• Use classroom management skills to lead activities and foster inclusivity.
• Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists and model positive behavior.
• Follow the Impact Kids Code of Conduct and company policies.
