Job summary

Home Run Inn in Darien, IL is seeking a friendly, energetic Server/Bartender who loves creating great experiences for guests. You will take orders, mix drinks, recommend a favorite pizza, and help ensure every visit feels like home.

As part of our Restaurant Operations team, you’ll welcome guests, deliver orders promptly, present menus, and suggest items. You must stay composed in a busy setting and keep your station clean and ready for service.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older to pour and serve alcohol.
Previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred.
Strong communication, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift, reach, bend, and stoop.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to obtain Food Handler certification within 30 days of hire.
Ability to obtain BASSET certification within 30 days of hire.
Safety shoes required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Welcomes guests and creates a friendly, positive dining experience.
Takes food and beverage orders accurately and delivers them in a timely manner.
Presents menus, answers questions, and makes recommendations based on guest preferences.
Acts on menu suggestions and informs guests about events.
Serves food and beverages and ensures guests have everything they need.
Checks in with guests throughout their visit and responds to requests politely.
Mixes, prepares, and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using standard recipes.
Maintains bar inventory and keeps the bar area clean and organized.
Communicates orders clearly with the kitchen and service team.
