Job summary

Kenowa Hills Public Schools seeks energetic Lunch, Recess, and Classroom Support Paraprofessionals for Alpine Elementary. This in-person role supports students during lunch and recess and provides classroom assistance, supervision, and academic support as assigned.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–1:15pm (4.75 hrs). CPI and Ukeru training are required. Ideal candidates will work well in large groups, reinforce PBIS, and collaborate with staff to foster a safe, inclusive school climate.

Qualifications

• CPI and Ukeru training required as a condition of employment (district training provided).
• Experience working with Pre-K–12 students preferred.
• Ability to supervise students in large-group, unstructured environments including lunchrooms and playgrounds.
• Ability to support classroom instruction and transition between supervision and instructional tasks.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, and school activities.
• Implement PBIS expectations and reinforce positive student behavior.
• Utilize CPI and Ukeru strategies when responding to dysregulation or behavioral concerns.
• Support classroom instruction through individual or small-group assistance.
• Maintain active supervision across large indoor and outdoor environments.
