Job summary

Fitness Connection is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor (GXI) in San Antonio. You will lead group exercise classes, educate members on fitness principles, and ensure high safety standards while fostering an engaging, supportive atmosphere.

The role requires strong communication and the ability to adapt workouts for varied fitness levels. You’ll arrive early, manage equipment and music, and coordinate with the facility’s management to deliver consistent class experiences.

Qualifications

• Proof of education/certification for specialized skill formats required.
• Must have company approved GXI certification.
• Must have/obtain CPR/AED certification and basic first-aid training.

Responsibilities

• Lead group exercise classes in a safe, accessible manner and explain the format to participants.
• Assess fitness levels of first-time participants privately and tailor guidance.
• Monitor form and adjust routines to accommodate all fitness levels while maintaining a fun environment.
• Ensure equipment is safe and audio systems function; set up and test before class begins.
• Close the class with clean-up and feedback; follow posted gym procedures.
