Glenwood's in Columbia, MD is seeking a Food Runner/To-Go Specialist to deliver meals promptly, ensure accuracy, and present dishes nicely. You will support both dine-in and to-go guests in a fast-paced setting.

No formal experience required, but strong communication, reliability, and a neat appearance are valued. The role offers weekend/evening shifts, training, and meal discounts within a growing restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 45 pounds.
• Professional appearance consistent with company standards.
• Able to report to work as scheduled, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Deliver food promptly while ensuring each dish is accurate, properly presented, and served at the correct temperature.
• Verify food orders before leaving the kitchen to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Clearly communicate menu items, accompaniments, and special requests when delivering food to guests.
• Prepare, organize, and package To-Go orders with accuracy, attention to detail, and presentation in mind.
• Maintain communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to support smooth, efficient service.
• Assist servers and other team members by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, refilling supplies, and supporting guest needs.
• Maintain clean, organized service stations and complete opening, running, and closing side work.
• Develop strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings to confidently assist guests.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards at all times.
• Demonstrate professionalism, urgency, and teamwork throughout every shift.
• Maintains performance standards and motivates team through positive role modeling.
