AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Cook at Taylor University in Upland, IN. This part-time role involves preparing and presenting meals, maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen, and collaborating with a team to plan and execute daily menus.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of cooking experience, strong food safety knowledge, excellent presentation skills, and a high-energy work ethic. Pre-employment drug testing applies; EOE.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience including food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and safety/sanitation practices.
• Exceptional food presentation skills.
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Assemble, cook ingredients, and complete hot/cold meal prep.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen and proper food handling.
• Attend to detail and presentation of each order.
• Place and expedite orders; follow recipes and prep techniques.
• Adhere to safety procedures and dating/rotation of items.
• Contribute to menus in collaboration with the team.
