Job summary

AVI Foodsystems, Inc. is seeking an energetic Cook to join our team. You will assemble ingredients, cook a variety of dishes, and present meals with attention to taste and plating while maintaining a sanitary, organized kitchen.

You’ll collaborate with teammates to ensure timely service. The role requires 2+ years of cooking experience, knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen equipment, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience with food preparation
• Knowledge of cooking methods, safety and sanitation practices
• Strong food presentation skills
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment
• High energy, strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience
• Assemble, cook, and present ingredients
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen
• Attend to the detail and presentation of each order
• Place and expedite orders
• Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients
• Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients
• Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items
• Stores leftovers according to established standards
• Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the team
