Job summary

Xfinity Live! in St. Louis, MO is seeking a barback to support bar operations in a lively country bar environment. You will perform prep work, restock supplies, and assist in keg changes while maintaining a clean, organized bar area and delivering friendly service to guests.

The role requires English fluency, 18+ age, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Prior food service knowledge is a plus in this fast-paced venue.

Qualifications

• Food service experience with general knowledge of bar/nightclub operations.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Must be at least age 18 or older, depending on state regulations.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Show energetic, outgoing, fun attitude while maintaining professionalism.
• Perform basic prep work behind the bar: refilling ice, restocking beer/liquor, garnishes.
• Change empty kegs in keg room, moving full kegs of beer.
• Help keep a clean, tidy bar area by cleaning spills and taking out trash.
• Organize bar and drink ware; clear and clean bar promptly.
• Offer polite, professional customer service to guests.
• Communicate clearly, patiently and humorously with team members and guests.
• Complete all side work as assigned.
