Job summary

City of Bend is seeking a skilled Client Systems Administrator II or III to manage the city’s endpoint environment. You will design and maintain Windows images, deploy applications with SCCM/MECM, patch systems, and enforce security via GPOs and Defender policies.

Ideal candidates have SCCM/MECM and/or Intune experience in an enterprise setting, strong Windows knowledge, and a customer‑focused approach. This full‑time role is based in Bend, Oregon, with opportunities to advance endpoint

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar position for Client Systems Administrator II.
• 4–5 years’ experience for Client Systems Administrator III.
• CJIS Level 4 certification required within first 3 months of employment.
• Current and valid Driver's license per City policies.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, maintain, and update Windows operating system images for deployment and hardware refreshes.
• Deploy, configure, and manage applications using SCCM.
• Manage OS and third‑party patching to maintain security and stability.
• Develop, implement, and maintain GPOs to enforce security standards.
• Configure Windows Defender Firewall policies and endpoint security settings.
• Administer and maintain AD‑related endpoint configurations.
• Manage enterprise DNS infrastructure and ensure reliable name resolution.
• Monitor endpoint health, deployment success, and compliance with reporting tools.
• Troubleshoot complex endpoint management, deployment, patching, and policy conflicts.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures for endpoint management.
