The position reports to the Director of IT Support Services.

The role partners with IT Support to maintain academic productivity while defending against evolving threats, focusing on EDR/NGAV, secure configurations, and policy-driven security controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of IT security or systems administration with a focus on endpoints.
• CompTIA Security+ or CySA+ certification; if not held, must acquire within first 6 months of employment.
• Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)

Responsibilities

• Endpoint Protection Management: Administer and optimize EDR/NGAV across college devices.
• Device Lifecycle Security: Implement secure baselines (CIS Benchmarks) for workstations and mobile devices using Jamf, SCCM, WSUS.
• Workstation Management: Maintain standardized configurations for classroom and admin workstations.
• Vulnerability & Patch Management: Identify and remediate vulnerabilities, including third-party patches and printer firmware.
• Secure Process Best Practices: Promote secure workflows and authenticated release printing to protect data.
• General Print Administration & Support: Manage campus printing network and centralized printer config.
