We are looking for an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Endpoint Security Engineer for our Cybersecurity-Endpoint Protection team. This position can be located in Brooklyn, NY, Hicksville, NY, Syracuse, NY, or Waltham, MA. Candidates may also reside in Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine. What you'll do

As an Endpoint Security Engineer, you'll manage and enhance security for desktops, laptops, servers, and field devices in the enterprise and other critical infrastructures. Your key responsibilities include:

• Implementing and managing endpoint protection solutions across IT and OT environments (e.g., EDR, Antivirus, Device Control, Application Control, Host-Based Firewall).
• Hardening endpoints and enforcing secure baselines for Windows, Linux, and mobile devices.
• Developing and maintaining endpoint security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Providing expertise during incident response, root cause analysis, and recovery for endpoint compromises.
• Liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate, test, and implement new endpoint security features, deploy new tools, and perform version upgrades.
• Maintaining management servers, performing daily health checks, applying updates, and ensuring system integrity and performance.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in endpoint security, especially in critical infrastructure.
• Proficiency with endpoint security platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, Trellix, or other EDR products.
• Hands-on experience securing endpoints in IT and/or OT environments.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with SIEM tools and frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Knowledge of NERC CIP, CIS Benchmarks, NIST SP 800-82, or similar standards.
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Understanding of energy/utility sector cyber threats.
• Experience working in regulated environments with compliance-driven security programs.

We follow a hybrid work structure within our service territory (NY & MA and adjacent states), allowing employees to work remotely or from the office as needed. We encourage working from the office for tasks that require high collaboration. We support flexible work schedules.

Salary

Downstate NY: $105,000 - $123,000 per year

Massachusetts: $98,000 - $115,000 per year

Upstate NY: $87,000 - $102,000 per year

Salary is commensurate with experience and location.
