Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions seeks a/Desktop Engineer to validate Windows-based hardware, software, and endpoint-management solutions in the IRS CI lab. The role involves maintaining test environments, executing plans, documenting results, identifying defects, and recommending fixes.

It also covers imaging, lifecycle management, automated testing, and change control in support of IRS-CI security and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Authorized to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint management, desktop engineering, or OS validation in Windows environments.
• Experience with MECM, Intune, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with application compatibility testing and documenting detailed test results.
• Experience testing deployments across multiple endpoint platforms, authentication methods, and network configurations.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET; holiday schedule may apply.
• Must work onsite in Florence, Kentucky and commute to Covington, Kentucky after relocation.
• Must undergo a High‑Risk Background Investigation and complete a 7‑panel drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform structured validation and testing of Windows-based hardware, software, OS, and endpoint-management solutions.
• Maintain test environments, execute test plans, document results, identify defects, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support endpoint imaging, lifecycle-management activities, automated testing, configuration and change management, and documentation.
