Chapman University’s Investment Office seeks an Endowment Gift Accounting Manager to oversee gift endowment accounting for 400+ accounts, validate endowment values and distributions, and prepare analyses.

The role collaborates with Advancement, Financial Services, Budget Office, and Academic Affairs, communicating complex accounting rules clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• High-level, complex gift accounting and administration of the endowment portfolio.
• Regular validation of the endowment values, unitization, and distribution data for financial reporting.
• Extensive financial analysis and reporting that requires researching, verifying, compiling, recording, reconciling, analyzing, and evaluating endowment transactions.
• Complex and varied analyses of endowment accounting issues and concepts, in addition to analysis and reconciliation activities and preparation of various internal and external endowment reports.
