Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine invites applications for a senior faculty position at the level of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure or tenure stream in Bioethics. The incumbent will lead the Institute for Bioethics alongside their medical appointment, building an independent program, mentoring trainees, and directing initiatives across health humanities and ethics research.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in bioethics research or related field.
• Independent external research funding strong track record.
• Substantial peer-reviewed publications in bioethics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain an independent program of bioethics research.
• Mentor and teach within the School of Medicine department as appropriate to rank.
• Direct or co-direct one or more research or educational initiatives in the Institute.
