Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1+ year of experience in a GI, surgical, or procedural setting preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, AAMI, and AORN standards for sterilization and disinfection preferred.
• Effective communication with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to follow established protocols and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical team during endoscopy procedures by preparing rooms and providing equipment.
• Handle, clean, and maintain endoscopy instruments and equipment.
• Disinfect, process, and document equipment per policies and standards.
• Perform room turnover and terminal cleaning between cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment processing and sterilization.
• Promote patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
